KABA & SLIT DRESSES

Kaba & Slit dresses are worn by most West African women on an everyday basis. These dresses range in styles.

Whether they are going to church, market, or to any social event, it is common to see our West African women wearing their Kaba & Slit. The Kaba part refers to the top half of the dress and the slit is the skirt-like bottom part. In essence, the Kaba and Slit is the African version of the European long skirt and and tailored top.

BUBA & WRAPPER

This is a traditional Nigerian attire. The top part is the Buba. It is a common form of loose fitting pullover with long sleeve worn generally with similar fabric wrapped around the woman's waist called the Wrapper. It can have embroidered neck and sleeve lines, but doesn't have to.

Most often, Buba & Wrapper is worn with a head gear referred by Nigerians as the Gele.

LACE DRESSES

Lace fabric in traditional African fashion, often brings out the elegance in a woman.

These dresses are worn at naming ceremonies, church services, weddings, baby showers parties and other social  functions and are designed to bring out the very best in a woman.

AFRO-WESTERN FASHION

It is possible to blend western and traditional African fashion. Just select your style, let us know what you want, and you will get it.

These Afro-Western designs can be worn at weddings, outdoorings, baby showers, parties and other social functions.

We reserve the right to charge more than the basic service fee, depending on the complexity of the the styles chosen.

BUOBUO

The Boubou/Bubu is one of the names for a flowing wide sleeved robe worn in most of West Africa and to a lesser extent in North Africa, related to the Dashiki suit. It is known by various names, depending on the ethnic group wearing them: Agbada (Yoruba, Dagomba), Babariga (Hausa), K'sa (Tuareg) Grand Boubou (in various Francophonic West African countries) and the English term of Gown

FUNERAL ATTIRE

Depending on which ethnic area you are from, traditional African funeral dresses can either be black or white.

Among the Ga traditional people in Ghana for example, black funeral clothes are worn when the deceased person was under 70 years. White is worn when the deceased person was over 70 years old.
